We care about Australia's foresting future

The Responsible Wood Shield is your assurance that the products you purchase from Lilly & Lolly come from a responsibly managed Australian forest. Lilly & Lolly’s timber supplier, Britton Timber, carries licences that endorse the Responsible Wood Shield, PEFC and FSD Logos. These logos provide consumers in Australia and around the world with the assurance that the wood or fibre used in the product originates from a responsibly managed forest. By choosing Responsible Wood, you demonstrate your support for the sustainable management of Australia’s forests.

We use sustainable timber sources

‘Britton's timbers are sourced from suppliers who identify environmental sustainability as a principle factor in any current or future operations in the forest products industry. Timbers are sourced principally from forests with international certification. Britton Timbers sources all of its Tasmanian timber from the sustainably-managed and PEFC certified temperate forests of the north-west region of the state.

Britton Timbers is Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC-C113479) Chain of Custody certified for its range of imported timbers from Scientific Certification Systems – one of the world’s leading FSC® certifiers.

Sustainability is also achieved through compliance with the provisions of the Forest Practices Code and the Tasmanian Forests Agreement (TFA). “Any customer buying products from Britton Timbers or products manufactured from timber supplied by Britton Timbers and sourced from Tasmania’s public native forests, can do so in the full confidence that it is produced in accordance with the TFA”.’ (extracted from https://brittontimbers.com.au/sustainability/ )

The Responsible Wood Certification Scheme ensures that Australia's forest industry is environmentally, socially, culturally, and commercially sustainable. 90% of large public and private native forests and plantations are certified, making Australia the 3rd largest certified forest area. Responsible Wood-certified forests are managed for future generations, and products carrying the label come from sustainably managed forests. Buying Responsible Wood-certified products helps stop deforestation and supports forest owners who depend on their forests for their livelihoods.

On-Demand Philosophy

Children are a Blessing from God

Small beginnings

Lilly & Lolly began in 1998 as a textile brand selling at Paddington Markets. The brand began because there was a gap in the market for quality modern bedding for kids. At that time, ducks and trucks were the only prints available for kids bedrooms. However, Lilly & Lolly became forerunners of a refreshing change for kids' interiors.

Megan Butler is the owner and Creative Director of Lilly & Lolly. With a passion for children’s interiors, she has created a brand that is perfectly suited for discerning parents looking for well-designed products. With a background in creative arts and a love for Australian made, her no nonsense approach to furniture and interiors is simple and dynamic. As both a parent and business owner, Megan draws on her own experiences to bring you inspiring spaces for kids to suit all ages and stages. With the new website now established and knowledge shared, she looks forward to inspiring parents to take their kid’s rooms to the next level.

Megan says, “I would like to invite you into my world where I design beautiful pieces to bless families so your kids can be nurtured as they grow. I personally believe that the family home is the nucleus of a healthy society where love abounds, and memories are made. It has been an absolute privilege over the years to have been a part of so many familiy's lives. I look forward to designing new and innovative products and am excited for how our new website will help you visualise the possibilities.”
